Dibble Independent Transport (DIT) is a Te Awamutu based firm which has been operating since 1981.
DIT was formed when Dibble Bros sold out after 28 years service and five of their staff brought Truck and Trailer units and operated from Te Awamutu carting mainly bulk fertiliser and lime products.
The Present Director was an original partner and in April 1997 formed Dibble Transport 1997 Limited with one other Director now Deceased, after purchasing shares from three other Directors who are no longer part of the Company.
The present director formed a new company in 2012 called Dibble Bulk Transport which specialize in tankers. Currently with 8 truck and 8 tankers.
The Present Director sold Dibble Transport 1997 Limited in 2013 to his son to carry on the family run business.
The total fleet now includes 14 truck and trailers purpose built for bulk haulage and 1 lime tanker all of these units are owned by Dibble Transport 1997 Limited.
The company also has a seperate business called Transport Lube Service which employes three full time mechanics who carry out all the fleet maintenance and also out side work.
The Company employes a full time Transport Manager who is responsible for the day to day running and co ordination of the vehicles.
Also the company employs a full time senior acccounts clerk, part time account clerks, 14 full time drivers, and temporary relief Drivers
